- The Award Ceremony was held in Pune on July 25, provided regional recognition for the industry. 40 awards were given to distinguished personalities at a glittering awards ceremony with a packed ballroom at the Novotel, Pune
- Four industry leaders were felicitated with special awards, which included, Mr. Om Prakash, commemorated in the wall of Legends, Mr. Sanjay Kaul as the DDP-Game Changer, Mr. Iqbal Mulla was recognised for his outstanding contribution to tourism and Mr. Dev Karvat as the Face of the Future.
- The India Travel Awards Night was a black-tie event based on online nominations and voting. To keep the awards unbiased, an online Nomination and Voting System was adopted. Nominations were received for over 95 different categories and over 310,000 votes were received from 312 cities across the world.
- A coffee table book highlighting western heritage was also unveiled on the occasion.
